Resort offers guests exclusive holistic treatments this Easter (25 Mar – 10 Apr 2012)
Ken Rosen, renowned practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is bringing his 20 years experience to offer holistic treatments to guests at One&Only Reethi Rah this Easter.
TCM is based on five interdependent branches: exercise, nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine and massage and acupuncture is the most widely recognized branch within TCM. It is renowned for solving a variety of chronic and acute health conditions.
Ken will be offering private sessions for guests taking an initial diagnosis using traditional Chinese methods, which will include palpation, pulse taking and signs on the tongue. Depending on the diagnosis, points will be selected along the main meridians to normalize the flow of Qi with the practice of acupuncture.
Group Taoist Yoga classes will also be available to help sooth the body and mind. Taoist yoga is based on the principles of heaven, man and earth. The realm of heaven is exercised through active standing postures and movements. The reflective realm of man is symbolized by a sitting series of postures, while the vegetative and still realm of earth is embraced by a series of relaxing floor exercise. Overall, the practice of Taoist yoga will increase suppleness, core strength, release tension, connect the mind and body, and enhance self-awareness.
One&Only Reethi Rah is a sleek all-villa resort set along six kilometres of private beach offering intimate accommodation in luxurious beach and water villas. In addition to the culinary classes, gourmands can enjoy a choice of cuisine from three restaurants, or in the privacy of their own villa. Stunning sunset dining is highly commended at Tapasake, an over-water restaurant serving Japanese fusion food.
Guest wishing to unwind can take advantage of bespoke Ayurvedic spa treatments or participate in a wide range of active pursuits available, including the One&Only Reethi Rah PADI Dive Centre, sea plane excursions, dolphin safaris and tennis courts.
